Controls Corporation of America specializes in gas control devices and systems for analytical, scientific, aerospace, environmental, pharmaceutical, electronic, medical, petrochemical, and metalworking applications. Products include single and dual stage regulators for varied pressures and purities, switchover and manifold systems, gas cabinets, hazardous gas monitoring, emergency shut down systems, flowmeters, blenders, valves, filters and flashback arrestors, hoses and accessories.

CONCOA’s Innovative CAPSULE®

In a program to meet the rigorous and exacting requirements of end-users in scientific gas applications, CONCOA has developed a unique regulator seat assembly – the innovative CAPSULE®. All seat related components are self-contained in a sealed module. A large micron sintered metal filter is an integral part of the capsule, protecting the valve components from any contamination and providing gas stream filtration. You won’t find six or more loose parts making up the complicated seat assembly found in most competitive regulators.

The seat material is high grade PTFE. PTFE continuously adjusts to form a tight seal and retains its sealing properties over a wider range of temperatures than most other seat materials. These properties provide a longer useful life even in the most demanding environment. All capsule seat assemblies are tested as separate components prior to assembly in the regulator. The complete regulator assemblies are inspected, giving the seat or heart of the device a double test.

A long history of providing solutions to challenging gas control applications. CONCOA invests substantially more research and development than the industry average in order to develop a continuous stream of new products. Recent examples of innovative designs achieved include: Lab Safety Equipment, 547 Series Switchovers, 577 Series CryoWiz and 203 Series Regulators.
