DCG's Refinery Gas Reference Materials

Refinery Gases are non-condensable gases obtained during distillation of crude oil or treatment of oil products in refineries. It consists mainly of hydrogen, methane, ethane, and olefins. Oil refineries or petroleum refineries are industrial process plants where crude oil is transformed and refined into more useful products such as petroleum naphtha, gasoline, diesel fuel, asphalt base, heating oil, kerosene, liquefied petroleum gas, jet fuel and fuel oils.

According to 40 CFR 63.641, refinery fuel gas means a gaseous mixture of methane, light hydrocarbons, hydrogen, and other miscellaneous species that is produced in the refining of crude oil and/or petrochemical processes and that is separated for use in boilers and process heaters throughout the refinery or petrochemical plant.

DCG Partnership offers a complete line of petrochemical and refinery reference materials from a single source, allowing customers to achieve consistent analytical results and save time and money due to partnering with one vendor for all their reference material needs.

DCG’s refinery and petrochemical reference materials are crucial in the evaluation of various streams and processes in manufacturing and distilling environments. Our products make it possible to assess the physical, mechanical, rheological, thermal, and chemical composition of crude oils, lubricating grease, automobile and aviation gasoline, hydrocarbons, and other naturally occurring energy resources within a range of applications.

As a market leader in the manufacture and analysis of reference materials, DCG Partnership works diligently with our many refinery and petrochemical customers around the world, offering solutions to improve analytical and process performance, reduce environmental impact, and lower overall production costs.

DCG reference materials can provide evidence of accurate and traceable analyses for custom requests and for these methods:
