Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), Natural Gas Liquids (NGL), Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG)

Critical measurements of quality for both value and suitability are critical to the energy and transportation industries. DCG manufactures reference materials that enable verification of concentrations of components that define application, heating value, and overall quality of the product.

Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG)

Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) is a liquid mixture of propene, propane, butene, and butane. A typical commercial mixture may also contain ethane and ethylene, as well as a sulfur containing component added for user safety. LPG is generally processed to remove light ends and is generally treated to remove hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide, and water.

Natural Gas Liquids (NGL)

Natural gas liquids (NGL) are components of natural gas that are separated from the gas state in the form of liquids through absorption and condensation as two of the most used techniques. NGL includes ethane, propane, butane and pentane. It is used as feedstocks, in the heating industry and other applications.

Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG)

Liquefied natural gas (LNG) is predominantly methane which has been cooled to liquid for increased safety and reduced volume for transport. The liquefaction process involves removal of heavier hydrocarbon components and other contaminants. DCG provides reference materials for gas phase analyses of LNG.
