Russell Johnston

As the Director of Technical Operations, Russell brings over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He gained much of his expertise as a laboratory manager, laboratory director, Vice President of Laboratories, Quality Manager, Six Sigma and Safety Professional, as well as in Health and Environmental roles.
Russell has experience in the custom distillation, environmental, specialty fuels and TIC industries. He brings his extensive safety and quality background to the forefront in his Senior Leadership role at DCG. He strives to ensure that all products meet the quality standards set forth by ISO 17025 and ISO 17034.
Russell graduated from Sam Houston State University in 1984 with a BS in Chemistry and minor in mathematics. He is also certified as an MAIC and DFSS Black Belt. Russell specializes in the practical application of quality principles and standards and has a special interest in the career development of those around him.
He is a husband, father, and grandfather. He can be found most weekends playing with his four grandsons, watching his favorite Cowboys play football and enjoying his family.
