Louis D’Agostaro

Managing Partner
  • As the Managing Partner of DCG, Lou brings over 43 years of experience in the hydrocarbon, petrochemical and natural gas processing industries. After graduating from Rutgers University in 1979, with a B.S. in Chemistry, he started in the oil and gas industry, working for various companies and gaining much knowledge. Lou was an innovator during those years and had a dream to produce and offer a substantially better product with excellent customer service, thus founding Dynagas and Chemicals Inc. in April 1988. In July 1993, DCG Partnership I, Ltd. was formed to meet the growing demands of the market and to service customers on a global scale.
  • Lou’s dream was to build a research and development laboratory and take quality to a whole new level. Utilizing state-of-the-art technology, highly skilled people and quality processes and procedures, he accomplished this goal by forming DCG Partnership. Lou said, “DCG is one of the few organizations of its kind that goes above and beyond the expectations of its national and international customers regarding quality and innovation for products and services.” Lou emulates the Dutch physicist and Nobel Laurette, Heike Kamerlingh Onnes who used the catch phrase, “To Measure is to know,” in his laboratory to highlight the importance of experimental work in order to gain knowledge and to perpetuate the idea that quantitative research was useful in three ways, laws, instruments and standards. Lou designed DCG Partnership after those ideals and continues to put them forth in the pursuit of becoming a Metrological Institution in the United States.
  • Lou is a husband, father, and grandfather. During his spare time, he can be found at his country retreat, listening to music, tinkering in his garage, or thinking of the next great innovation for the industries we serve. Lou has said many times that he never wants to retire, but instead live out his life in the lab as Frank Lloyd Wright lived out his days engaged in his life’s work.
